Introduction

Scanvox for NVDA is an add-on for NVDA that allows you to scan your documents and read them immediately, integrated with NVDA and utilizing the power of the Scanvox software. If you do not have NVDA, you can install the Scanvox software and read the tutorial I have made on this page: Scanvox
Before using Scanvox, you must have a scanner configured and it must be compatible with TWAIN or WIA, which is the case for most scanners.

How does it work?

To use this add-on, you can install it via the NVDA add-on Store or by downloading it at the bottom of this article.
Once installed, you can access the NVDA menu then tools then Scanvox or use the shortcut NVDA+alt+S.
In the window that appears, you will find a "scan" button.
Click on it to start the scan.
Once the page is scanned, NVDA automatically reads the scanned page. Click on the button until you have scanned all your pages.
Once finished, you can export the result by clicking on the "Save scanned pages" button, or open the pages in notepad by clicking on "View scanned pages in notepad".
If you want to delete the pages, you can click on the "Cancel all scanned pages" button.
Note that if you exit the window, the pages are automatically deleted.
